{1} Tournament final over Rick & Scott Steiner.
{2} On March 19, 1999 in Corvallis, Oregon, Chris Mann defeated the Crazy Ones in a handicapped match to apparently win the World tag team championship. NWA President Don Owens returned the titles to The Crazy Ones claiming Mann pinned the wrong man.
{3} Titles were held up after a 4-way match ended with two referees injured during the match.
{4} Tournament final over The Thorougbreds.
{5} won in triple threat match which also involved The Prototype.
{6} After defeating Violence Inc earlier in the night, the Black Dragons won the titles in an unscheduled match up with the champs later on that same night.
{7} This was a three team match also involving Sudden Impact.
{8} Benoit Dreygon retired.
{9} Blade teamed up with Shawn Hillard.
{10} Title Vacated with the hiatus of RW.
{11} Tournament final over Knyte & Jones vs. Hotstuff Inc. vs. The Unexpected.
{12} Titles Vacated.
{13} Won in a 4 team match over The Crusaders, Blackbird 13 & Joey Rival and Da Ace Killaz.
{14} Won in a Fatal Four Way which also involved The Horsemen and the team of Yoshi Kawazughi and Thundercat.
{15} Devastation Inc. win titles as Axis of Evil, but later reveal themselves to be Calavria & Andrews.
{16} "Kid Ego" Diesel Warren replaces the retiring Shane Andrews shortly thereafter.
{17} The Belts were declared vacant by the NWA Board.
{18} Defeat Ramblin’ Man & Soul Rider in the finals of a tournament.
{19} Ezekiel and Joshua Baker became Tag Champs at WrestleClassic, May 27th, 2007, after winning a Battle Royal where the last two guys would team-up. They defeated The Black Knights.
{20} Titles declared Vacant.
{21} NWA reinstates the Tag Team Championships and puts them up for grabs in a match between the Dogmen (Soutter & Doyle) and The Hunters.
{22} The Sex Symbols were the last NWA World Tag Team Champions when the NWA closed.
{23} Won the reinstated titles at WrestleBowl in a four way match that included Steel Thunder, Legends in the Making, and The Hierarchy.
{24} Titles vacated when HessingStern left the NWA.
{25} Won vacant titles at AW's Guts, Gold & Glory, in a match against involving Steel Thunder.
{26} The Cage Brothers declared the Freebird rule allowing Jake Cage, Jason Stallion, and Tommy L to choose which two of the three would defend the titles.
{27} Defeated Tommy L and Jake Cage for the tag titles at the Lou Thesz Tournament Event. Due to the Freebird Rule, the titles were allowed to be defended by Tommy L and Cage instead of Stallion and Cage.
